make sure that winavr is installed in a directory without parenthesis (such as '...Program Files(x86)'), or you'll get "make: Interrupt/Exception caught (code = 0xc00000fd, addr = 0x4217b3" errors when building.
On Vista x64, all drivers need to be signed, but the libusb driver hasn't been signed. download Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider .
